Mark Borrello established Borrello Legal, a boutique full-service property and commercial law firm, aged just 26, targeting what he said were “gaping holes” in service delivery in parts of the legal fraternity. Taking a proactive, solutions-based approach, the practice now services national property groups, has a substantial litigation practice and diversified into transport infrastructure. Borrello Legal makes annual donations to charitable organisations and carries out pro bono work for charities such as Ronald McDonald House. It also provides prizes for numerous charity events. In 2012, he was headhunted by a US pharmaceuticals company to implement a strategy, governance and growth plan. By seizing this opportunity, he was subsequently appointed vice-president/general counsel. Mr Borrello regularly presents law updates to local and national real estate agencies and speaks at seminars on property and leasing matters. He has also written several papers and articles that have been distributed among clients. In 2019, LSV Borrello was acquired by Thomson Geer and Mr Borrello became the inaugural managing partner for its Perth office.
