In 2019 Business News launched a new event series - Politics & Business - designed to provide a platform for government to address and inform business leaders and the broader business community on policies and key issues that affect our state.
The events are usually held as a breakfast and as a 15 minute keynote address followed by a 30 minute moderated in-conversation, including attendee questions using an audience interactive platform.

Senator the Hon. Michaelia Cash is the Shadow Attorney-General and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
Born and raised in Western Australia, Senator Cash has served in the Australian Parliament since 2008. She has held a number of senior ministerial portfolios, Industrial Relations and Employment, Small and Family Business, Skills and Training, and Women. She was Australia’s 55th Attorney-General and was the Deputy Leader of the Government in the Senate. She is widely recognised for her extensive experience across the legal and judicial systems, industrial relations, economic policy, and federal government leadership.
