Daniel Heredia is the youngest medical director in the Ramsay Health Care’s group of 117 hospitals. He was responsible for medical services at Hollywood Private Hospital, the largest private hospital in WA.
At the age 26, Dr Heredia was the youngest medical advisor to Medicare and oversaw a total restructure of its Tasmanian operations. He joined Hollywood Private Hospital in 2007 as a medical officer and was subsequently appointed deputy director of medical services, director of medical services and deputy chief executive. In 2011, Dr Heredia was tasked with improving labour costs at the Hollywood Private Hospital and managed to achieve not only a 20 per cent improvement on medical costs expenditure, but also an improvement in service delivery, staff satisfaction and morale. In October 2020, he became executive general manager of health services at HBF.
Dr Heredia holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours, an MBA with distinction including as top MBA graduate in 2011, and a Diploma of Public Health. He is a 40under40 finalist in 2014.
