UUV Aquabotix will go ahead with a reverse takeover of emerging consumer fintech One Click Life after a successful fund raising effort that resulted in the maximum $5.5 million being accepted after oversubscriptions.

Underwater drone developer Aquabotix has joined the Information Warfare Research Project consortium which provides members with a fast tracked route to secure contracts offered by the US Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. The company will gain access to key partners and customers and gain the ability to be able to carry out rapid research and prototyping using nondilutive funding options available under the OTA.

ASX listed Aquabotix has joined the “Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium” that enables members to deliver new technologies quicker and more efficiently than traditional US federal acquisition requirements would otherwise permit. This is made possible by the “Other Transaction Authority” agreement for Undersea Technology Innovation that the consortium reached with the US Naval Undersea Warfare Center in June.

Aquabotix has been awarded USD$78,000 from the US Navy to develop an unexploded ordnance detection solution that will be used to detect, locate and neutralise unexploded subsea ordnance. The company will incorporate the solution into its “SwarmDiver” miniature submarine drones or other unmanned underwater vehicles as it seriously strengthens its ties with one of the world's most powerful militaries.

Aquabotix will have the opportunity to bid on research and development projects after joining the Innovative Undersea Prototype Development Consortium. The Consortium supports a US Navy program that seeks to address the endurance and data transmission challenges faced by unmanned underwater vehicles.

Aquabotix will have the opportunity to demonstrate its SwarmDiver underwater drones to the US Navy under a research and development deal with the United States Naval Undersea Warfare Center. The agreement gives the company access to the Narragansett Bay military test facility – including its ranges and personnel - to test and demonstrate its swarming drones.

In a sure sign of its future strategy, underwater drone specialist Aquabotix will co-locate its American operations with the US military in Virginia in a bid to secure lucrative defence industry contracts. Aquabotix says the co-location with the Joint Munitions Command's Armament Retooling and Manufacturing Support Program strengthens its links with the US department of defence.

Underwater drone specialist Aquabotix has announced the launch of its “Swarm Diver” product, an autonomous underwater and sea-surface robot that can work in cooperation with other units of its kind on security, recovery and data collection missions. The Sydney and US-based company says the remote-controlled vehicle, which weighs 1.7 kilograms, is the first of its kind commercially available.

New CEO David Batista has a 20 year background in small caps and was most recently the Managing Director of financial services firm Viriathus Holdings.
