A gravity survey by Sipa Resources at the Barbwire Terrace project it shares with Buru Energy east of Broome in WA has unearthed a big anomaly and telltale structures to boost its chances of a lead-zinc find. Sitting on the southern margins of the Fitzroy Trough, the findings show geological similarities to the Lennard Shelf on the northern side of the trough.

On the spot x-ray fluorescence analysis on a third drill core pulled from Buru Energy and Sipa Resources' jointly held Barbwire Terrace project south-east of Broome in WA has unveiled broad intervals of disseminated base metal sulphides. The high-grade mineralisation ran up to 23.9 per cent zinc- lead and was joined by a suite of anomalous hits running north of one per cent.

Diamond drilling at Buru Energy and Sipa Resources' jointly held Barbwire Terrace project south-east of Broome in WA has turned up a smorgasbord of high-grade base metal mineralisation. The joint venture says portable XRF readings on samples from one of the two recently plunged holes delivered grades as high as 19.8 per cent lead plus zinc from 413.5 metres.

Buru Energy and Sipa Resources are continuing their foray into base metals, kicking off diamond drilling at the joint venture's Barbwire Terrace project south-east of Broome in Western Australia. The 50/50 split operation plans to sink up to four holes at nominal depths of up to 500m as they look to test targets along the south-western margin of the Fitzroy Trough.

Sipa Resources have kicked off their 2017 exploration programs in both Uganda and the Paterson region in the north of W.A. The company is a little different to many other exploration hopefuls in so much as both of their projects appear to boast huge mineralized systems and if they can find the source of the mineralization they may well have at least one and maybe two tier 1 projects.

Interest in the Paterson copper-gold district in the north of W.A continued today with news from Sipa Resources that they had intersected copper-gold mineralization in 15 out of 19 holes during their maiden drilling program at the Obelisk project . The results showed an initial strike length of more than one kilometre, which remains open in all directions.

There's nothing quite like confirmation that the drill rig has been booked for a maiden drilling campaign to get the gold bulls sniffing around. It becomes even more tempting for the bulls when the ground to be drill tested sits just 35km along trend from a nearby project that just produced a 63m intersection grading 2.2 grams per tonne gold and 0.19% copper.

The company recently completed a 12 hole RC drilling program returning solid numbers across very wide intercepts at the project, many of which start from surface. Sipa Resources systematic approach to their Akelikongo nickel-copper prospect in Uganda appears to be paying off with the discovery of a very encouraging 10m intersection grading 1% Nickel and another 4m intersection grading 1.8% Copper. With Cobalt fetching up to 3 times the price of Nickel, the company was also encouraged to see reasonable Cobalt numbers in the results.
