ClearVue Technologies has boosted the power output of its smart solar window glass panel prototype by a massive 33 per cent to 40 watts per square metre after enlisting help from solar specialist, D2 Solar, based in San Jose in California's Silicon Valley. The uplift in power output cannot be overstated for the ASX-listed ClearVue and may be something of a game changer.

ClearVue Technologies has signed a Letter of Intent with Beijing Jinmao Green Building Technology Co. Ltd, owned by a subsidiary of China's Sinochem Group Co, Ltd, to market and distribute its smart solar window glass panels in mainland China. The two companies will complete a trial construction project first by deploying ClearVue's energy generating window panels ahead of negotiating a formal, possibly exclusive, distribution arrangement.

ClearVue Techologies and Netherlands-based eLstar Dynamics B.V are planning to develop the ultimate remote controlled, energy generating “smart window” by combining both companies proprietary technologies into one window. The partners have penned a synergistic agreement that will combine Clearvue's window glass energy generation technology with eLstar's dynamic/switchable and dimmable glazing technology. The partners are planning to develop a window that can be controlled remotely whilst generating its own power.

ClearVue has developed two products that can be fitted to window glass that are capable of turning the glass into an energy generating panel.

Solar window glass innovator, ClearVue Technologies, has broadened its presence in China after securing an original equipment manufacturing agreement with China's Jiangsu YY Windows and Curtain Wall System Company. Under the terms of the agreement, YY Windows will be able to manufacture and sell ClearVue's solar-powered insulated glass units either under its own name or through licensed distributors.

Under the agreement, Attefallshus will integrate ClearVue's proprietary solar glass window technology into its micro-homes and other construction projects where appropriate, exclusively in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

ClearVue Technologies, has secured a significant foothold in the US for its solar glass “PV technology” after signing a collaboration agreement with sustainable infrastructure specialist AquaGen Infrastructure Systems. Under the agreement, AquaGen will integrate ClearVue's energy generating windows into all of its planned sustainable village developments, some of which are already at an advanced planning stage.

ClearVue Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwanese manufacturer BeyondPV to secure supplies of solar photovoltaic, or “PV”, strip modules. Under the agreement, BeyondPV will invest about USD$3.5 million to establish a dedicated production line to produce ClearVue's solar PV strip modules, while carrying out research and development to improve ClearVue's products and technology.

ClearVue Technologies has signed a consultancy agreement with global engineering consultants Arup to further develop its Smart Façade panel concepts that incorporate the ASX-listed company's clear glass solar panels. This work will develop four types of self-powered Smart Façades into concepts that can be supplied to selected manufacturers for prototyping and integration into mass production and assembly.
