Kali Metals has recruited seasoned mining executive Paul Adams as its managing director, effective from July 1. Mr Adams, who is a non-executive director at Kali, will take over from Graeme Sloan. Despite retiring from the role of managing director, Mr Sloan will remain with the company as non-executive director. Mr Adams is currently an executive director at Kalamazoo but he will transition to a non-executive director when he starts at Kali.
Justin Whalley has been appointed as the state’s Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions for a five-year term. Mr Whalley was admitted as a barrister in 2002 and became a senior prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in WA in 2009. Seven years later, Mr Whalley was appointed as a senior consultant state prosecutor before elevating again to senior counsel in 2019.
The Arts and Culture Trust has announced Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operators Council chief executive Robert Taylor as its newest board member. Mr Taylor has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors and was appointed as WAITOC chief in 2015. During his seven year tenure at the council, Mr Taylor oversaw the delivery of the Aboriginal Tourism Development Program, nurturing the growth of 39 new Indigenous businesses in WA and contributing to the state government's Jina Aboriginal Tourism Action Plan.
Maintenance contractor LGM Industries has selected former Mondalephous manager Paul Fishlock as its chief executive, a newly created role. Mr Fishlock joined Monadelphous in 2006 and was recently its general manager of mining and minerals, energy, and oil. He has more than 40 years of experience in construction and maintenance industries in WA and the UK.
Mining services contractor Perenti chief financial officer Peter Bryant has announced his resignation to take up a role at Perth Airport. Mr Bryant will start as CFO at the airport after a six-month notice period with Perenti. He started at Perenti more than 11 years ago, joining from Barminco.
Paul Brown will start as chief executive at Core Lithium from June 4, shortly after his stint with Hastings Technology Metals is scheduled to end. Mr Brown, who is chief executive of Hastings Technology Metals, announced on May 10 he was leaving the company at the end of the month. He is a seasoned campaigner within the resources sector, having spent solid stints with both Mineral Resources and Fortescue along the way. Mr Brown will take over from interim chief executive Doug Warden, who will help facilitate a handover period prior to his departure from the company in July.
