Vanessa Guthrie

Vanessa Guthrie was WA's first female mine manager when she first ran Huntly, the largest bauxite mine in the world, and was head of sustainable development for Alcoa World Alumina Australia and then Woodside Energy for over 8 years. She has held previous roles with RGC Limited, Pasminco Limited and WMC overseeing environmental management and community relations of mining and refining operations in gold, nickel and base metals, including those in the Northern Goldfields. Appointed executive general manager of Toro Energy's Wiluna uranium project in 2011, she became managing director of the company in February 2013.
