Lachlan Hunter was elected member for Central Wheatbelt in March 2025 and served as the Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Food, and Racing and Gaming.
He has extensive knowledge and experience of Commonwealth and State governments, parliamentary and ministerial office processes.
Mr Hunter was appointed to the board of the Northam Chamber of Commerce in 2023.
Earlier in his career, Mr Hunter was an advisor to the former federal agricultural minister prior to becoming the acting state director for The Nationals WA in 2020.
Mr Hunter was the president of Western Australian Young Nationals.
