Kerman lands $170m Hope Downs infrastructure deal
Kerman Contracting has won a $170 million contract to build non-process infrastructure at the Hope Downs 2 iron ore mine in the Pilbara.
The Applecross design and construction firm will build tools to facilitate mining fleet maintenance, servicing and site admin at the mine, which Rio and joint venture partner Hancock Prospecting committed $US1.61 billion to develop following government approvals in late June.
