More than 85.2 per cent of large businesses will have personnel ready to spring into action while small business employers were less concerned about Y2K failures, with just over half believing they need to have staff on call.
Over 96 per cent of utilities organisations, 87.3 per cent of the government and 85.2 per cent of financial services companies believed there could be problems.
More than 80.6 per cent of the media indicated concern, as did 81.7 per cent of the information technology sector.
Industries least concerned with Y2K failures included construction and advertising/marketing sectors with 37 per cent and 57.5 per cent of firms respectively keeping staff on call.
