Do you have an innovation that you need to commercialise but don’t know the best approach?

Does your job involve new product development or the creation of new companies or spin-out ventures?

Australia is an inventive nation with a long history of generating many inventions. However, our track record of successfully commercialising these innovations is poor. There are many reasons for this poor performance in commercialisation, but one of the key factors is a lack of commercialisation management skills, which is a major attribute that providers of venture capital finance look for.

During this Sundowner, Professor Tim Mazzarol will provide insights into the ways in which organisations can successfully commercialise innovation. Tim will draw his links with cutting edge approaches to innovation and research knowledge to inform best practice. Tim will also discuss how he helps innovators to achieve best practice commercialisation in his Innovation Excellence Program to be run in the first half of 2017.

Your organisation may also be eligible for Industry Skills Funding (ISF) from the Commonwealth Government. We will have an ISF representative available to talk to you about how to apply for the funding.
