WA Mining Club June Luncheon

The WA Mining Club's monthly luncheon will host Alberto Calderon, Managing Director of Orica Limited on Thursday 23rd June at the Hyatt Regency Perth.

Topic: Leading through Every Part of the Cycle

Non-Executive Director since August 2013. Alberto was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 19 May 2015. Alberto is a former Group Executive and Chief Executive of BHP Billiton, Aluminium, Nickel and Corporate Development. He is also a former Chief Executive Officer of Cerrejón Coal Company and Colombian oil company, Ecopetrol. Alberto is a member of the Investment Advisory Committee for New York Mining Fund AR Capital GP II Ltd.

Our monthly lunches are warm, friendly, collegiate events, where members can mix socially and listen to guest speakers on topics of interest to the industry. The WA Mining Club lunches attract high profile speakers, with more than 300 members in attendance at each lunch.

Lunches generally run for an hour and a half with plenty of time allocated for networking.

Our 2016 speakers will be sharing recent mining experiences – both triumphant and challenging – and thoughts on the industry.

Tickets can be purchased individually or as tables of eight. Members: $100, Non-members: $150 and Retired members / students: $50.
