The Fremantle Foundation is proud to invite you to a morning tea presentation and dialogue with international guest speaker, Kevin Murphy of the US Council of Foundations and Berks Community Foundation. Kevin brings with him decades of experience in establishing, developing and running successful community foundations.

This includes growing Berks County Community Foundation to more than $55 million in assets and distributing over $2 million in grants annually during his time as President.
This is a valuable opportunity to understand from the world’s best what it takes to open up new philanthropic markets by making giving accessible and appealing through the community foundations model.

Kevin Murphy is president of Berks County Community Foundation as well as Chairman of the U.S. Council on Foundations, the trade association representing philanthropic foundations across America.  Members of the Council included more than 1,750 independent, operating, community, public and company-sponsored foundation, and corporate giving programs in the U.S.A and abroad.  As such he represents billions of dollars of philanthropic investments, at the highest level.

In 2010 Kevin joined the leadership of the Global Philanthropy Initiative, partnership of the Council of Foundations, the European Foundation Centre and WINGS (Worldwide Initiative for Grantmaker Support) established to campaign for a more favourable environment for cross-border giving; develop models and vehicles for pooling foundation resources and increasing collaboration; and identifying key opportunities to engage with policy makers and multilateral organisations.
