With over 25 years experience in the aviation sector, Alan held a number of key positions at major airlines including Qantas, Ansett and Aer Lingus before taking on the role as founding Chief Executive Officer of Jetstar in 2003, where he commenced the airline's domestic and international operations.
 
Since his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Qantas in 2008, he has implemented a major transformation agenda for Qantas International including the utilisation of new technologies to improve productivity and service.
