A well established international conference that will explore the latest
technologies and developments in the iron ore sector. The conference presents a
valuable opportunity for professionals in the industry to engage with leading
practitioners and experts.

Jointly organised by CSIRO and the industry's professional
body, The AusIMM, the conference explores the theme 'Shifting the Paradigm'.
The conference will highlight the valuable lessons learnt in understanding how
iron ore companies are challenging existing industry practices, how their
expansions of current operations are impacting the broader minerals industry
and how they are developing new mines based around new ore types.

The comprehensive program covers the
latest developments in the genesis, geology, exploration, mining and processing
of iron ores, including new projects now under development.

Among other keynote speakers, the conference sees:

The Hon Bill Marmion, WA Minister for Mines and Petroleum will discuss the crucial role iron ore
plays in maintaining WA as a global powerhouse in the resources industry.
Michael Gollschewski, Managing Director, Pilbara Mines (Rio Tinto Iron Ore) updating the
Pilbara business – Australia's largest integrated mining project. ·
Chris Minnie, Global Head of Product Development (Kumba Iron Ore)
discussing the issues of delivery of projects.·
David Woodall, Director Operations (Fortescue Metals Group) examining
the innovations in mining employed by Fortescue.·
Professor Yongzhi Sha (China Iron and Steel Research Institute Group)
discussing the Chinese iron and steel response to the challenges of iron ore
