On 10 May 2013 UnitingCare West holds its annual Fundraising Golf Day at Royal Perth Golf Club. UnitingCare West is a community services agency that supports thousands of people each year.  UCW’s clients include those in the community experiencing financial hardship, domestic violence, child abuse, mental health issues and disability to name a few.

The aim of UCW’s fundraising Golf Day is to raise funds for a new Family Homelessness Service, the first in Perth.  The families seeking help from UCW get rejected from private rentals due to unemployment or low income.  Existing homeless facilities aren’t suitable for children, leaving these families with nowhere to go.  Through our new service, parents will have a place to cook dinner and bath their kids. At the same time they will get support with accessing accommodation and employment, while their children can safely play and do their homework.

UCW is seeking companies that are willing to get behind this important cause.  There are a variety of sponsorship packages available and the opportunity to play with a corporate team. Participating companies will play 18 holes followed by lunch and a charity auction at the prestigious Royal Perth Golf Club while they are contributing to the development of a much needed new service which will have a significant impact on the Perth community.
