A small, forward-thinking Perth social enterprise is bringing some of the country’s leading business and marketing experts together in a free conference to help not-for-profit organisations.

Hancock Creative, a social media agency committed to helping organisations with a worthy cause at their core, will stage Change the World on Thursday 24th November. The free conference aims to indirectly help one million people, by providing knowledge and inspiration to the people who help them.

Among the keynote speakers are Nick Bowditch – an entrepreneur and social media thought leader who has worked in the marketing teams of both Facebook and Twitter; founder of social enterprise Thankyou, Sarah Prescott, whose products are now stocked in 5000 outlets in Australia; Richard Bell, a young entrepreneur and investor who was recently named one of Start-up Daily's Top 3 Emerging Leaders in Australia; and the Head of Community Engagement at Bankwest, Craig Spencer.

Hancock Creative Director Alecia Hancock will also share her vast experience in marketing not-for-profit organisations. Named a Telstra Young Business finalist in 2014, Alecia has devised innumerable social media strategies to promote worthy causes, winning a swag of awards along the way.

According to Hancock, the motivation for the conference was to take a big picture viewpoint and come up with ways to truly help not-for-profits and the vast communities they serve.

“There are many challenges facing causes in WA, like restricted funding, difficulty in gaining awareness and increased competition from big business to gain exposure.

“Change the World will harness the combined experience and wisdom of our speakers to show organisations how they can grow awareness, raise funds and attract the right people – simply by telling their story in the most effective way.

“We are only a small business but we believe strongly in making a difference and doing what we can to help worthy causes,” concluded Hancock.
