State-owned electricity retailer Synergy has appointed Telstra subsidiary NSC Group to refurbish its customer service operations.
As part of the three-year contract NSC will update Synergy’s contact centre network, installing new software to help streamline the operations, which include call centres and Synergy offices.
NSC will also provide full-time managed services for the first year of the deal.
Commercial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
NSC Group managing director Trevor Boal said a contact centre was the first point of interaction between a company and its customers, and therefore crucial to the success of the business.
“Especially as external communications become increasingly reflective of companies’ ability to listen and respond to customers,” he said.
Synergy general manager retail, Rebecca Kardos, said the project would improve the efficiency of the energy retailer's communication operations and help it become more customer focused.
