New members for Aboriginal Lands Trust

NEW members have been appointed to the Aboriginal Lands Trust.

Ron (Doc) Reynolds, a Mirning (Nullabor) Traditional Owner who is an executive member of the Goldfields Land and Sea Council and former president of the Aboriginal Legal Service is the chairman of the board.

The new board now comprises:

Gordon Cole, who is chairman of the ATSIC Perth Noongar Regional Council and has interests in indigenous housing, infrastructure and business;

Leslie Cook who has proven credentials in housing and infrastructure and business and economic development;

Kevin Giles who is the Indigenous Natural Resource Management coordinator for the Swan Catchment Council;

Betty Logan who is a councillor with ATSIC’s Mulga Mallee Regional Council and an elected member of the governing committee of the Goldfields Land and Sea Council;

Shirley McPherson who is chairwoman of the Indigenous Land Corporation; and

Susan Murphy who is manager of Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation operating out of Port Hedland
