Judge: Terry Iannello - TCC Group

Title: Managing director

South Fremantle-based corporate philanthropist, Terry Iannello, co-founded the TCC Group in April 1982.

Since then, he has helped the business grow from an organisation occupying a home office and employing four people, to an industry leader operating from 9.9 hectares in Kwinana with an expanding office complex and modern workshop facilities employing 570 people.

A major highlight of his career had been establishing an industry based training centre at TCC Group, which is now a nationally certified training organisation.

Mr Iannello identified the need to recognise specialised trades, such as industrial coating and rubber lining work, with formal trade status.

Dedicated to overcoming the skills shortage in WA, he remains involved in the Industry Capability Network, Metals Industry Board and in the School-to-Apprenticeship program.
