Accomplishments

Geoffrey Mather started at RAC as a trainee accountant and was promoted in 1998 to the position of group company secretary.

In 2003, he became the group’s chief financial officer.

His most significant business achievement is to have structured RAC group’s financial and gov-ern-ance strategies for the past five years. He also assumed respon-sibility for the development of a plan to improve performance of the group’s accounting department.

His plan restored the financial control environment to a satisfactory level.

Mr Mather also developed a range of internal documents dealing with RAC’s financial perspective, and established a risk and compliance business unit.
