Daniel Bathe graduated from Queens University of Belfast in chemical engineering (Hons) in 1982.

He has 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, which includes several international projects. He joined Shell International in 1982, where he held a number of international positions in Brunei, the Netherlands, Sarawak and London.

Since joining Woodside in 1997, Mr Bathe has held a variety of roles, including business development manager for Woodside’s Africa business unit, development manager for the Angel gas field in the North-West Shelf, and for the sunrise gas field in the Timor Sea.

He is currently business development manager for the North-West Shelf Venture. The North-West Shelf Venture supplies gas to customers in Western Australia as well as exporting liquefied natural gas to customers in Japan, Korea and China.
