James Jarvis is committed to working in partnership with people, to create strong communities of connected and capable people. He grew up in regional Western Australia. After completing a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours in Psychology), he returned regularly to the regions and has worked in the Kimberley, Pilbara, Murchison and Wheatbelt. His appointment as chief executive of The Nintirri Centre has been a shift to the not-for-profit sector after 21 years working for a variety of state government agencies in WA and NT. Mr Jarvis is also chair of Pilbara for Purpose (an association of Pilbara-based NGO’s), secretary of the Tom Price Men’s Shed committee and the Pilbara Inland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and board member of Linkwest.
