George M Kailis

George Kailis is a Professor of Management at the School of Business at the University of Notre Dame Australia. He holds qualifications in law and management and has had extensive industry, government and community experience.
Prof Kailis has special interests in the environment, fisheries management and strategy.
He was managing director of the MG Kailis Group, one of Australia’s largest fishing and aquaculture businesses, from 1992 to 1999.
Prof Kailis has been a director of the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation and the Australian Fisheries Management Authority. He is also a director of the MG Kailis Group, Australian National Centre for Oceans and Resource Security, and the WA Fishing Industry Council.
