The company is now set to launch a 7,500m drilling blitz that will look to grow the mineralised zone and test 3.5km of strike to the north.

Estrella Resources has continued to return broad intercepts of nickel sulphide mineralisation from its T5 discovery in Western Australia. The company's latest results from the prospect include 14.14 metres at 1.05 per cent nickel and 0.58 per copper which includes an impressive 5.41m at 1.45 per cent nickel and 0.88 per cent copper from 408.34m down-hole.

The company says results from the holes in its ongoing drilling of the T5 nickel-copper discovery adjacent to the former mine include a 13.75m intersection of basal-contact massive and globular nickel-copper-iron sulphides.

The intersection occurred at the base of a previously drilled 32.7m nickel-copper-iron mineralised sulphide zone.

Estrella Resources has received another fillip as it bids to inject new life into the historical Carr Boyd nickel-copper camp north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia with a follow-up wide drill intersection of mineralised sulphides in the T5 discovery zone. The 12.25 metre zone of stringer and disseminated nickel-copper massive sulphides was intercepted below an earlier massive sulphide hit.

Estrella Resources looks to be on target as it continues drilling across its T5 nickel sulphide target in WA. Latest drill results from the discovery include an impressive 12.9m sulphide intercept, which hosts several zones of semi-to-massive nickel-rich mineralisation. The new zone of sulphides forms part of the Upper T5 conductor and is located 40m south of previous drilling, extending the envelope of this exciting nickel discovery.

The hits keep coming for Estrella Resources, with drilling at its Carr Boyd nickel project continuing to intersect sulphide mineralisation. Two drill holes above the feeder zone of the T5 discovery have intersected more than 47 metres of disseminated to matrix-textured sulphides, with mineralisation including visible nickel-rich pentlandite and copper-rich chalcopyrite. Assays are not far away.

Estrella Resources says it is sizing up Great Boulder Resources' high-grade gold discovery along trend from and immediately to the south of its Carr Boyd nickel discovery north of Kalgoorlie. Estrella says its field team is weighing up the latent potential of its project area around Carr Boyd for gold after Great Boulder's stock quadrupled in the last month based on its gold discovery.

Estrella Resources is getting close to joining the dots at its revived Carr Boyd nickel project after it hit 16.35m of disseminated to highly disseminated nickel-copper sulphides 75m below one discovery and 65m above another. The upper discovery previously returned 20.1m at 1 per cent nickel and 0.7 per cent copper and the lower discovery came in at 8.05m @ 0.8 per cent nickel & 0.5 per cent copper – assays are pending.

ASX-listed nickel explorer, Estrella Resources has recently completed an “experimental” seismic survey over the major basal contact at its Carr Boyd nickel project about 80km north-north-east of Kalgoorlie. The Perth-based company described the survey as a necessary de-risking tool it says will increase the success rate of deeper drilling targeting the basal contact for nickel sulphides.

Estrella Resources is tapping into the deeper potential of its Carr Boyd nickel discovery in WA, with drilling intersecting a broad zone of sulphide mineralisation at around 590 metres down-hole. The drilling confirms the down-dip extensions to the previously intersected mineralisation, with other recent intervals including 3.7m at 1.14 per cent nickel and 0.74 per cent copper from 516.8m down-hole.

Estrella Resources has gone back-to-back at its Carr Boyd nickel discovery following up previous stellar numbers with a 20-metre thick nickel sulphide intercept from recent diamond drilling grading 1.02 per cent nickel and 0.65 per cent copper from 368.5 metres down-hole. The results also included a higher-grade core of 2.45m at 1.64 per cent nickel and 1.97 per cent copper.

Ongoing drilling at Estrella Resources T5 Zone, near the old Carr Boyd nickel mine north of Kalgoorlie, is providing something of a renaissance in a region where a short-lived nickel-copper mine operated early in the 1970s nickel boom. The company's project area takes in the mothballed Carr Boyd Rocks nickel mine, which shut decades ago and has seen little serious exploration since that time.
