DSI Underground is Australia’s largest manufacturer & supplier of specialist strata reinforcement & support products to the underground coal & metalliferous mining sectors. DSI Underground is also a major exporter of these products to the Asia-Pacific Region.
In Australia, the DSI Underground head office and main manufacturing facility is in Newcastle, NSW. Another manufacturing facility is located in Perth to service the Western Australian market.
In October 2018 the company completed the acquisition of Western Australian company Fero Group, which was founded by the Franco family in 1972.
DSI Underground has been owned by international private equity fund Triton since 2011.
