IPS Management Consultants announced Kristal Kinsela-Christie will replace Katina Law as managing director. The group also welcomes Nyiyaparli/Yindjibarndi woman and former Gumala Aboriginal Corporation executive Jahna Cedar as operations manager. Ms Cedar has spent 18 years advocating for equal rights and reconciliation for Indigenous people and was named the First Amongst Equals in the 40under40 in 2017.
St John of God Health Care has appointed Grahame Coles as its group director digital and technology. He joins the organisation after working as the chief information officer for the Department of Health and Human Services in Tasmania where he provided leadership for planning, developing, implementing and managing the information and communication technologies in the department.
Andrew McConville will be the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association’s new chief executive. Mr McConville has international experience working in Switzerland as global head of external affairs and communications for agricultural technology company Syngenta. He has a background in senior corporate affairs and management roles in the banking, food and agriculture sectors.
Perth Convention Bureau chief executive Paul Beeson has announced he is stepping down from the role. Mr Beeson held the top job for eight years and has been with the bureau for 11. He said he was leaving to pursue new ventures. PCB chairman Kevin Skipworth said Mr Beeson had made an outstanding contribution and his leaving was a great loss.
Mining specialists SRK Consulting has hired mine geotechnical specialist Scott Marisett. After living and studying in Canada, Mr Marisett flew across the world to Kambalda Western Australia to launch his engineering career with WMC Resources. He has since worked for OceanaGold, AMEC Foster Wheeler, Newmont Mining, GeoMech Services and Golder Associates.
Neil Martin is teaming up with Matt Wilson at The Brand Agency in Perth as the company’s senior art director. Mr Martin was formerly the head of art at competitor Marketforce. Mr Wilson’s previous creative partner Hayden Griffiths decided to leave the industry. The Brand Agency is also welcoming Elle Pound as the head of insights.
The Marketing Mix has hired Rob Korda as business development manager. Mr Korda worked as head of sales (agency) at Seven West Media and previously spent eleven years at WIN TV. He is replacing Matthew Rosich who was recently appointed to a senior role in the company.
The St John of God Foundation has undergone a restructure resulting in the hire of Rachel Bruechle as the senior manager of marketing, communications and fundraising. Ms Bruechle is moving to the role after working as the senior manager of marketing for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. She has previously worked for Activ Foundation, Murdoch University and Lotterywest.
Alzheimer’s WA has welcomed Warren Harding and Matthew Budge as new board directors. Mr Harding is the WA Minister for Health’s nominee on the Sustainable Health Review and has 30 years’ experience in management consulting and on not for profit boards. Mr Budge is a partner at PwC.
Sharon Brown has been appointed the WA chair of the Australian Information Industry Association. Ms Brown has held the position three times over the last 20 years and replaces the outgoing Julian Coyne. She is the managing director of software consultancy Sharon Brown & Associates.
