Global Construction Services has announced the SRG Global Merger of Equals to create a leading global specialist engineering, construction and maintenance group. It has acquired 100% of the ordinary shares in SRG. Global Construction has appointed Peter McMorrow as non-executive deputy chair, David Macgeorge as managing director, Peter Brecht and Michael Atkins as non-executive directors. Enzo Gullotti will transition from his role as managing director to executive director following the resignation of George Chiari who will continue to work for the Group. Roger Lee has replaced Nigel Land as company secretary.
Dr Quinton Hills has been appointed technical director of MetalsTech and will oversee the continued exploration and development of the cobalt projects in Ontario and lithium projects in Quebec. Dr Hills is a qualified geologist with 15 years of experience in the minerals industry.
Anthony Kiernan has been appointed non-executive chair of Saracen Mineral Holdings. He replaces Geoffrey Clifford who will retire as chair but remains on the board as non-executive director. Mr Kiernan, previously a practising lawyer, is a professional director with extensive experience in the administration and operation of listed public companies. Coinciding with this appointment Mr Kiernan has resigned as non-executive director of Chalice Gold Mines, having served on the board since 2007 and was chair from October 2014 to March 2018.
