Beadell Resources has announced a restructure of its management and board. Current non-executive director Dr Nicole Adshead-Bell will take over from Simon Jackson as chief executive and managing director. Peter Holmes will step down as chief operating officer. Luis Pablo Diaz will now assume the role of country manager with Fabio Marques taking over as general manager of the Tucano Gold Mine, a role which was previously held by Mr Diaz. As part of the company’s commitment to becoming a North American-based gold producer, US-based Brant Hinze (who is currently a director of Beadell) has assumed the role of chair. He replaces Craig Readhead who will transition from the role of chair to a non-executive director.
Automotive Holdings Group has promoted senior business development manager, Adam Irving, to chief financial officer. Mr Irving has played a major role in AHG’s business development since he joined the group in 2010. AHG has also appointed Jo Cairns as chief human resources officer. Ms Cairns was the director of customer service and operations at O’Brien Glass. She replaces Martin Wandmaker who stepped down from the role last month.
Joanna Kiernan has resigned as corporate general manager and company secretary of Kingsrose Mining after 6 years of service. Susan Hunter has been appointed as company secretary and the role of general manager will not be refilled at this stage. This change comes as the company consolidates the operational gains made since leaving the administrative process in July 2017.
Aidan Flynn, current chief financial officer of Fastbrick Robotics (FBR), will also take on the role of joint company secretary. Gabriel Chiappini continues as the company’s non-executive director and joint company secretary.
Joyce Corporation has recently completed a strategic review and has appointed Keith Smith as finance executive and chief operating officer. In addition to his skills in finance and operations, Mr Smith has extensive experience in technology and digitalisation. Since arriving and settling in Western Australia, Mr Smith has led the finance and technology functions for several ASX-listed and not-for-profit organisations.
Julie Jones has been appointed general counsel and joint company secretary of Matrix Composites & Engineering. Ms Jones is an experienced legal practitioner with a broad range of legal experience including roles with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, Iluka Resources, State Solicitor’s Office and Mallesons Stephen Jacques. Her appointment follows the resignation of Adam Santa Maria as group legal counsel and company secretary.
Dr Richard Hopkins is now the managing director of Zelda Therapeutics. Dr Hopkins has extensive knowledge and experience with his established track record in drug development of novel cancer therapies and strong experience with corporate strategy, business development and intellectual property matters.
Mike Bailey has been appointed independent non-executive director of VEEM, an Australia-based manufacturer of propellers, fin systems, gyrostabilizers and specialist components for the super yacht, aerospace, oil & gas and defence industries. Mr Bailey was the group contracts and marketing manager of VEEM from 1990-1997 and has not acted in any capacity for the company for more than 20 years.
Triangle Energy Global has appointed Timothy Monckton as an independent non-executive director. He is currently an equity partner at Baillieu Holst and is the relationship manager of its resources division. Mr Monckton has over 25 years of experience in the stockbroking industry.
