Deidre Willmott, Lisa Scaffidi and Liz Constable have joined the board of the Perth USAsia Centre based at the University of Western Australia.
Ms Willmott is currently chief executive officer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, and was previously executive chairman of Cannings Purple.
She has been closely involved in government policy and lobbying, including stints as chief of staff to Colin Barnett and Richard Court.
Lisa Scaffidi is the current and first female lord mayor of the City of Perth, and previously served for more than 10 years as WA state director of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia.
Dr Constable retired from politics last year as WA’s longest-serving female state MP.
She served 22 years in the state parliament, including as education minister from 2008 to 2012.
The Perth USAsia Centre is a think tank on the Australia-US-Asia strategic and economic relationship.
