Online share trades grow

Increases in online trading continue to outstrip growth in trades through the Australian Stock Exchange.

ASX total trades have increased 59 per cent since the beginning of November.

Trading through online brokers has increased between 105 per cent and 128 per cent in the same period.

Sanford Securities CEO Steven Goh said the buoyancy in the market and demand for new stocks, particularly technology, had defied the traditional flat spot in trading over the October-November period.
