INDONESIAN air carrier Air Paradise International will start flights out of Perth on October 27.
The news of the new Bali destination carrier was first revealed in WA Business News on
April 25 2002, at which time the company was setting up an Australian base for operations.
It is understood that the company will be taking sales and bookings from Monday September 23.
Air Paradise International’s entry to the market is expected to increase price competition on trips from Perth to Denpasar.
The airline is also flying a Melbourne-Denpasar route.
Air Paradise International is a venture by Bali-based Bounty Group owner Kadek Wiranatha.
Former Garuda International employees Gary Hilt (national business manger) and Christine Ross (WA sales manger) head the Perth outfit of the company.
The company was formed to fill the void left by the demise of Australian airline Ansett, which plied the Perth to Bali route.
