LJ HOOKER Commercial has come up trumps in a survey of the real estate industry by National Business Bulletin.
The 1999 Corporate Image Survey asked respondents nationwide to grade their perceptions regarding both companies and products.
The survey covered more than 200 categories.
Final scores were given to each company ranging from 1,200 to zero.
If all the respondents gave a negative rating, the total index would be zero. If all gave a very positive rating, the index would be 1,200.
Within the real estate sector, LJ Hooker scored 703 with Raine & Horne, the 1998 category winner, coming second with a final score of 642.
Ray White Commercial was placed third.
Colliers Jardine improved two positions to be fourth, while Knight Frank held steady at fifth and CB Richard Ellis improved one position to sixth.
Jones Lang Lasalle was the big loser, falling back from number two last year to stand at seven, while Laing and Simmons held steady at eight, as did Stanton Hillier Parker at nine and Chesterton at ten.
Another big drop in respondent perceptions was felt by First Pacific Davies, which dropped from four last year to eleventh in current ratings.
