ADVERTISING industry heavyweight Marketforce has retained the high-profile Quit account, following a public tender.

The re-appointment confirmed the strength of the agency team, Marketforce managing director John Driscoll said.

The appointment is also an important win for the agency following the departure of joint creative directors Adam Barker and Lori Canalini last year.

Marketforce has undergone considerable upheaval, with the acquisition of the Shorter Group earlier in the year adding a number of new staff to the mix

“I think it really reflects the strength and depth of the team in social marketing,” Marketforce general manager Paul Yole said.

“We’ve got continuity with people who have worked on all the anti-smoking campaigns.”

The agency is currently preparing the Quit campaign ahead of Quit Week in May.
