MARIO D’Orazio has returned to Channel Seven’s news and current affairs team after a year at the head of a Sydney-based stockbroking site, Egoli online.
Mr D’Orazio has been reappointed as State producer of Today Tonight, filling the vacancy created by the departure of news director John LeCras late last year.
Mr Le Cras’s former position has been divided in two, with Stephen Pennells from the Sydney office of The West Australian newspaper appointed to head up news at Seven Perth.
Mr LeCras has accepted a role on the management team with HBF where he will fulfil public relations functions and a number of strategic programs, said Ricki Smith general manager member values HBF.
The new arrivals at Seven consolidate the news and current affairs teams ahead of the traditional new year ratings war between Perth’s commercial television stations which start in February.
