NATIONAL Australia Bank is the first in Australia to have launched a credit card that actually wants you to read the fine print.
The credit card has a built in magnifying lens that enlarges the print by up to three and a half times.
Apparently, the LensCard has its genesis in a scene from a movie in which Jack Nicholson, at the end of a meal in a dimly-lit restaurant, pulls out a magnifying glass to read the bill and a credit card to pay the bill.
Alan Finkelstein, a US-based inventor and restaurateur, decided that combining the two into a credit card was the perfect way to help people discreetly read small fine print.
