Land management group Pilbara Corridors has appointed environmental scientist Ian Cotton as its new project manager to oversee the management of natural resources in the Fortescue River catchment of the Pilbara region.
Pilbara Corridors works on landscape scale to manage biodiversity threats and stabilise and improve the ecosystem.
It is governed by a partnership between Rangelands NRM, Greening Australia and the Department of Parks and Wildlife (WA).
Mr Cotton was previously operations manager at the Northern Agricultural Catchments Council, and has worked in Estonia and South East Alaska as part of his environmental services experience.
