Brander to take on Margaret River

MARGARET River has the potential to be one of the world’s best known regional brands says 8M Media and Communications managing director Thomas Murrell.

He believes the area has the attributes to become globally recognised for high quality products and lifestyle.

“If you think of Champagne in France or Silicon Valley in California – these are regions where the name of the place has become a brand,” Mr Murrell said.

“By building a brand with a reputation for quality and excellence, businesses in Margaret River can use the Margaret River brand to better promote themselves and gain a competitive advantage to help their businesses grow,” he said.

Regional branding and developing marketing strategies for regional communities and businesses will be the focus of a full-day workshop presented by Mr Murrell in Margaret River on 27 April at the Creative Centre.
