Board Moves September 21, 2023

Prakash Kakkad has resigned as company secretary of BHP Group, with Stefanie Wilkinson remaining as group company secretary.

Frontier Energy has appointed David Wheeler as alternate director for Amanda Reid, due to a period of absence from Ms Reid. Mr Wheeler has more than 30 years of senior executive management, directorships, and corporate advisory experience within Australia and other regions including the USA, UK, Europe and Asia.

Kinetiko Energy has fully acquired Afro Energy, the South African incorporated entity holding the exploration rights to the flagship Amersfoort Gas Project. Following the acquisition, Donald Ncube and Robert Bulder have been appointed non-executive directors, representing its joint venture partner Badimo Gas. Both Mr Ncube & Mr Bulder are shareholders of Badimo, while Mr Ncube is also chair of Afro Energy.

Legacy Iron Ore has appointed Abanindra Padhy as non-executive director. Shri Padhy is a cost and management accountant by profession, and spent over three decades with NMDC where he is an executive director and heads the sales, marketing and material management functions for iron ore, pellets, steel, diamonds, sponge iron and other products.          

Noble Helium has appointed experienced oil and gas executive Greg Columbus as non-executive director. Mr Columbus has over 30 years of experience in the energy and oil & gas sectors around the world including in technical, commercial, executive and non-executive roles. He is also a company director with commercial, strategy, corporate finance and legal experience.

Rubix Resources has promoted Dr Casey Blundell to chief executive. Dr Blundell joined the company in June 2022 as senior geologist and exploration manager. She will lead the company through its next chapter of exploration and development following its recent acquisition of the Ceiling Lithium Project in James Bay, Quebec.
