Cirrus Networks has appointed Christopher McLaughlin, current chief operating officer, as acting chief executive with Matthew Sullivan taking a leave of absence for personal and family reasons. Mr McLaughlin has been a member of the executive team for six years, and has over 20 years of industry experience in business management, engineering and technology.
Dacian Gold has appointed Mick Wilkes as non-executive director. Mr Wilkes has over 35 years of mining industry experience, principally in gold and base metals. He has specialised in project development, construction and operations.
Peter Torre has resigned as non-executive director of Mineral Commodities, having been with the company for over 15 years. He will also step down as joint company secretary on 15 October after a handover to Fletcher Hancock, the company’s group legal counsel and joint company secretary.
Salt Lake Potash has appointed Isak Buitendag as chief executive. Mr Buitendag has been the general manager of transformation at Kazzinc which is part-owned by Glencore. He has significant experience in executive roles within the mining industry in Australia, Kazakhstan and Africa; and has led teams in project development and minerals processing.
