Board Moves September 12, 2023

Aspermont has advised of the sudden passing of non-executive chair Andrew Kent. For over 30 years, Mr Kent played a pivotal role in establishing and financing the company’s industry leading business strategy, mentored key management executives, and assumed governance roles.

Delta Lithium has appointed Mineral Resources executives Chris Ellison as non-executive chair and Joshua Thurlow as non-executive director. Mr Ellison is the founder and managing director of Mineral Resources, where Mr Thurlow is lithium chief executive. With these appointments, the board has decided to split the roles of chair and chief executive. David Flanagan will step down as executive chair, and non-executive director James Croser will act as interim chief executive and managing director. Mr Croser is a qualified mining engineer with over 25 years of operations and corporate experience within the Australian mining sector. He has been with the board since December 2020, and was instrumental in the acquisition of the company’s current projects.

Evolution Energy Minerals has restructured its board with the appointment of Michael Spreadborough as non-executive director, Cameron Dowling transitioning from an alternate director for its largest shareholder to a non-executive director, Amanda van Dyke stepping down as nominated director, and Michael Bourguignon stepping down as an executive director and assuming the role of chief operating officer. Mr Spreadborough has over 30 years of experience in Australian & international mining leadership roles for companies operating in range of commodities across underground and open pit mining, processing, port operations, exploration, project development and financing.

Loren King has resigned as joint company secretary of Kalium Lakes.

Red 5 has advised that long-serving non-executive directors Colin Loosemore and Steven Tombs will be retiring from the board at the upcoming AGM in November. Mr Loosemore has been a non-executive director since 2014, and Mr Tombs joined the company as a senior executive in 2016 before becoming a non-executive director in 2018.

Sandfire Resources has appointed highly experienced resources executive Paul Harvey as an independent non-executive director. Mr Harvey has over 35 years of global experience within the resources sector where he held operational and project leadership roles.
