Barra Resources has appointed Chris Hansen as chief executive and managing director. Mr Hansen is a multi-disciplinary metals and mining professional in both public and private markets, and had led mining business development activities for one of Australia’s largest private investment groups.
Ian Cochrane will step down as non-executive chair of Dacian Gold due to health reasons, and non-executive director Robert Reynolds will become acting chair until a replacement has been appointed. Mr Cochrane joined the board in February 2016 and became chair in January 2020. He will also step down as chair of Perenti, with non-executive deputy chair Robert Cole taking over as chair.
OM Holdings has appointed Dato Abdul Hamid Bin Sh Mohamed and Ming-Li Tan as independent non-executive directors. Based in Malaysia, their appointments support the proposed secondary listing of the company’s securities on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. Dato Abdul Hamid is the executive director of Symphony House, a privately-owned investment holding company. Ms Tan has been in legal practice for over 25 years and is a partner of Malaysian legal firm, Chooi & Company + Cheang & Ariff.
