Aspire Mining has announced the retirement of long-serving non-executive chair David McSweeney. Mr McSweeney joined the Aspire board in February 2010 during the company’s acquisition of the Ovoot Coking Coal Project. He has decided to retire due to an increase in his involvement with the family's engineering business. Current managing director David Paull will become interim executive chair until a suitable and experienced candidate is appointed.

Tech Mpire has appointed current executive director of corporate development, Mathew Ratty, as interim chief executive until a global candidate has been identified. Current chief executive Lee Hunter has decided to move to a chief operating officer role, based in Sydney, due to the impending birth of his first child and onerous travel and time away from his family.
Ian Lynass has been appointed chief executive of Tempo Australia, succeeding Max Bergomi who has held the position for over 2 years. Mr Lynass joined Tempo in January 2018 as vice president, strategy and corporate development. He has considerable leadership experience having worked in the defence, steel, petrochemical, mining and industrial services markets for over 25 years. Mr Bergomi remains as the company’s shareholder. Current non-executive director Guido Belgiorno-Nettis will assume the role of deputy chair.
Robert Kennedy has passed away following a short illness. Mr Kennedy was non-executive director of Flinders Mines for 17 years, non-executive chair of Maximus Resources and Ramelius Resources for over 13 years, and has sat on the boards of several other companies for more than 10 years.
