Board Moves February 24, 2021

African Gold has appointed Peter Williams and Simon Bolster as non-executive directors. Mr Williams has extensive experience in successful exploration of different mineral systems around the world in greenfields, brownfields and in-mine exploration. Mr Bolster is a geoscientist with over 30 years of experience in the gold industry, specialising in regolith, geochemistry and remote sensing. They both have a well-established West African network and an impressive track record of discoveries in Birimian Greenstone Belts, with involvement in the discovery of multiple multi-million ounce gold deposits across West Africa.

Kalium Lakes has appointed current chief financial officer Antony Beckmand as joint company secretary. Mr Beckmand joined Kalium Lakes in November 2020 and has more than 20 years of experience within the mining industry in Australia and overseas.

Dr James Searle has resigned from the board of Kinetiko Energy. Dr Searle has been a founding member of the board and non-executive director for almost 10 years.

Bill Beament will be retiring as executive chair of Northern Star Resources in July, following his appointment as an executive director of Venturex Resources. Mr Beament joined Northern Star in 2007 as managing director and became executive chair in 2016. Current non-executive director John Fitzgerald will take over as an independent non-executive chair from July until the appointment of a new chair.

Over at Venturex Resources, Mick McMullen has been appointed an executive director and will transition to a non-executive director when Bill Beament commences as executive director on 1 July. Northern Star nominee Darren Stralow has resigned from the board.
