THERE are some changes on the cards for two Fremantle eateries.

Market Street's Maya Indian Restaurant recently applied to the Department of Racing Gaming and Liquor for a small bar licence.

Gusto hears the small bar is to be located on the first floor of the popular eatery, which has been operated by owner Gurps Bagga for more than 12 years.

Soho Soho, located in Fremantle's High Street fashion precinct, has applied for a restaurant liquor licence. The venue has been operating for two years, and is open for lunch from 10am to 4pm.

Owner Gareth Hancox says he plans to open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings if he is granted the liquor licence.

Pizza on High, the Great Mellie, Villa Roma and the Orient Pub are some of the other restaurants currently trading on High Street.
