What? ~ The Uber of home cooked food, Mondoz is a platform that connects people to homemade cuisine.

‘Home Cooks’ on Mondoz post authentic cultural meals which ‘Meal Explorers’ can book and pay through the mondozapp.com website. The customer then either joins the cook at their home to enjoy the meal (with their other guests as appropriate), can pick up the meal, or have it delivered.

Where? ~ Website: Mondozapp.com. An app is being scheduled for release in 2017.

Who? ~ Jonathan Lim and Jonathan Mecque are the company’s founders. The website was developed by Rashin Pothan and the team from 7th Pillar.

Quote ~ We would like Mondoz to grow within Perth to help increase the variety of local cuisines here. Our main goal is to encourage more home cooks in Perth to share their authentic food with other locals.

-Jonathan Mecque

$ ~ The founders have invested around $30,000 into the business so far and are looking to raise an additional $50,000 to cover the app development and website operational costs.

The initial target market is Perth city, after which the company plans to expand to the eastern states.

Mondoz launched on September 5 2016 and are ranked #1 by startup date on BNiQ startups list.
