Don Hyma has been appointed as an advisor to Caravel Mineral’s board. Mr Hyma will provide advice on the project implementation strategy for the Caravel copper project and to assist the board in assessing the results of feasibility studies. Previously, Mr Hyma was projects director for Fortescue Metals Group, technical director at Mitsui & Co, vice president of projects for the Iron Ore Company of Canada, and Rio Tinto general manager projects.
Elizabeth Lawton is joining Racing and Wagering Western Australia as chief legal, governance and risk officer. Most recently, Ms Lawton worked as general counsel and company secretary for Brightwater Care Group. She has previously held senior roles at organisations including Wesfarmers, Home Building Society and P&N Bank.
Perron Institute has welcomed Rebekah Puls to its board. Dr Puls is an executive officer of the H2Seq Initiative. Prior to returning to Perth from Sydney, she worked at University of New South Wales Medicine & Health, Brain and Mind Centre and the Kirby Institute at UNSW. Her medical research has provided updates to international HIV treatment guidelines for the World Health Organisation and one study resulted in a US Food and Drug Administration approval. Dr Puls is chair of the Perron Institute’s research advisory committee.
