Edith Cowan University has appointed Carolyn Turner as director of development and alumni relations. Ms Turner previously served as director of philanthropy at Christ Church Grammar School, led the Leukemia Foundation, and worked at Qantas where she was general manager alliances, among other roles. She was also on the board at the Conservation Commission of Western Australia for several years.
Strategic advisory firm GRA Partners has appointed Luke Forrestal to the role of financial communications director. Mr Forrestal was a journalist for the Australian Financial Review until departing in 2013 to provide communications and investor relations advice to companies including Fortescue Metals Group, Macmahon Holdings, and Salt Lake Potash.
Benny Tsung is joining Globe Metals & Mining as global sales and marketing president. Before joining Globe, Mr Tsung served as a director for BPDT & Co. He has worked in commodities trading for more than 15 years, including a five-year stint at Glencore. Prior to that, Mr Tsung worked for accounting firm Taylor Woodings in insolvency, restructuring and reconstruction.
Tony Chamberlain has been appointed chief operating officer at fertiliser hopeful Trigg Mining. Dr Chamberlain has held senior operational and leadership roles in the resources and engineering sectors, most recently serving as chief operating officer at BCI Minerals and Vimy Resources. He also held senior positions in several resources companies including Clean TeQ Mining Division, Stonehenge Minerals, and BHP.
Bojan Bogunovic will take on the role of financial controller at Suvo Strategic Minerals. Most recently, Mr Bogunovic served as financial controller at ASX-listed Kalium Lakes Limited. Prior to that, he spent five years with RSM Australia in Perth, including a secondment to London. Mr Bogunovic is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
