Bankwest has promoted Rebecca Mitchell to the role of chief information officer. Ms Mitchell is the first female to hold the position at the bank. She has worked at Bankwest for the past 13 years, starting as a senior network engineer in 2007, and most recently as chief operating officer. Ms Mitchell replaces Andy Weir, who left in December 2020.
Mader Group has appointed Justin Nuich as chief executive. Mr Nuich has previously worked in the mining and oil and gas sectors at Fortescue Metals Group, Mineral Resources and BHP. Most recently, he was the managing director at Allscope Holdings. Former Mader Group chief executive Patrick Conway has transitioned into the role of director emerging businesses.
Jody Nunn will be the new chief executive of Reconciliation WA. Ms Nunn will join the organisation after working as state manager of the Australian Institute of Company Directors for the past four and a half years. Prior to working at AICD, Ms Nunn spent eight years as the senior manager, corporate communications at Lotterywest. She will start in the position on February 15.
Perth Festival has hired Julia Holt as head of programming. Ms Holt has more than 25 years’ experience in the performing arts industry, including working as London-based Riverside Studios general manager and holding senior programming roles at the Sydney Opera House. She most recently worked as director, marketing and events, at Live Performance Australia and ran boutique production house Tout Suite.
Patricia Todd has been appointed chair of the WA Commission for Occupational Safety and Health, replacing Stephanie Mayman. Professor Todd recently retired from her role as a professor of employment relations and head of the management and organisations discipline group at the University of Western Australia.
Master Builders Association of WA has elected Michael Van Dongen as vice president and re-elected president David Crothers. Mr Van Dongen is a director at boutique construction consultancy Encon and previously served on the board of the Master Builders Association WA. Mr Crothers is the managing director of Crothers Construction.
Kristie Young is the new general manager of American Chamber of Commerce in Australia. Ms Young has more than 20 years’ experience across technical engineering, strategy, business development and marketing, client management and human resources. She previously worked as a director at PwC and a business development account director at EY.
